THE ART OF ENVELOPES
Envelopes are the gift wrap surrounding the heartfelt sentiments that we send to those we love. Let's learn to create envelopes as cherished and beautiful as the words that they contain! We will explore composition ideas, colors, and artistic accents to make our envelopes truly spectacular. Students should come to class with any addresses that they would like to illustrate, letter, and/or calligraph.
This is a design course; therefore, no letterforms will be taught. General art supplies will be available to use. If there is a particular medium that you prefer working with, please bring it to class. If you have taken one of the calligraphy classes and would like to address your envelopes using your pointed pen, please plan to bring your own pen, nibs, and inks.
I recommend using a light pad / light board when addressing envelopes; however, this is not a required tool. If you have a light board / light pad that you would like to bring to the workshop, please let me know so that I can arrange to have enough power outlets.
Completion of one of my lettering workshops is recommended, but not required.
No previous design experience is necessary; however, you will enjoy the class more if you are comfortable with the medium that you will use to create your design.
Supplies are included in the workshop. You will receive:
Arrive a few minutes early to grab some fabulous coffee and a bite to eat!

Parking is in the adjacent lot or on the street.
